Photo and video file processing

Simple File Convert is a browser tool that converts HEIC, HEIF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP photos to JPG or PNG and MOV/M4V/MP4 videos to MP4. Photo-to-PDF creation also runs in your browser. Photo and video files are not sent to this site’s server for conversion.

The photo converter loads the open-source heic2any script from the jsDelivr CDN. Video conversion uses the ffmpeg.wasm script included with this site and the FFmpeg core loaded from the jsDelivr CDN. When your browser connects to the CDN, its provider may process ordinary request information such as your IP address, request time, and browser details. The photo and video file contents are not included in those requests. The video core is about 31 MB and is downloaded when you first start a video conversion.

Photo metadata and temporary data

Converted photos may not preserve the original EXIF information, including capture date and location. Files and conversion results are handled in browser memory. The original file is not changed. If you use your device’s sharing feature, the file is sent to the app or service you select.

Analytics and advertising

This site does not currently use Google Analytics or another site traffic analytics tool. Google AdSense code is installed on this site. If ads are served, Google and third-party advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Google may use a user’s previous visits to provide personalized ads. Users can manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. For details about how Google uses data on partner sites and apps, see Google’s privacy information. The site is currently under review, so ads may not yet be displayed.

Hosting and external websites

Website hosting and the CDN may process connection information needed to deliver pages and scripts. If you open an external link, that website’s privacy policy applies. Check the relevant provider’s notice for details about its services.
